Prue is the definition of dedication. As a super‑mum to twin boys and sweet Penny, she still shows up to class almost every day and gives absolutely everything she’s got. Another year done and dusted with my Fit For Change family and this year was a little bit special, because it marked 10 years since my first ever FFC bootcamp in Alexandria Park 🤯👵🏼

It's been a long journey since the days of me standing in the park with two clients, an A3 sized laminated sign and three kettlebells from Aldi (lol) and looking back, I can't believe I made it this far😂

Thank you to my wonderful clients for celebrating with me last weekend and I wish I got more photos of everyone at the party!! I am eternally grateful for my FFC family and I feel lucky to have each and every one of you in my life🤍

And to my wonderful trainers, @joshua_moose_ and @maxferri04, thank you for all your support over the last year. I couldn't have done it without you both!

So here's to another 10 (okay maybe 5, lol) years of dishing out burpees by the beach😜 and cheers to a cracking 2026!! 🥂🥳

Max has been an integral part of Fit For Change’s growth in 2025 and I’m excited to announce that Max will be taking on a more official role in 2026; coaching classes, Personal Training clients and coordinating business operations 👨🏼‍💻
 Max completed his Certificates III and IV in Fitness with me at UOW College and since then, he has continued to grow within the industry; working as a trainer and gym administrator to sharpen his skills in all areas of fitness.
Max is also about to begin his Bachelor of Exercise Science to expand his knowledge in strength, movement, and human performance 🏃🏽‍♀️

Max's coaching style focuses on functional training, technique, and consistency — empowering clients to develop lasting strength and confidence both in and out of the gym so if you're looking for a coach who supports you, pushes you AND makes you laugh, then Max is your man👊🏽

What a generous and supportive community we have around us🥹  Yesterday was so much more amazing than I ever imagined. Those who got there at 5:30am in the pitch black to help me set up, those who slaved over a hot bbq for 3 hours, those who now have carpel tunnel from writing over 1000 raffle tickets and those who helped on the stations to coordinate and cheer everyone on!

A special mention to Lani, my wing woman and to Lyn and Deb who danced and played music to motivate the runners as they ran around the surf club 💃🏻   We are still tallying the total raised so stay tuned 👀

This is Nic and she's one of the kindest, funniest, most generous and loving people I know.   And yet, three months ago, Nic got diagnosed with Brain Cancer. WTF.   This diagnosis rattled the whole community because none of us could understand why someone so special would be dealt such a shit hand. It just doesn’t seem fair!!  But Brain Cancer doesn’t discriminate. 1 Aussie every 5 hours is diagnosed with brain cancer and yet, brain cancer receives only 5% of all federal government cancer research funding !!! It feels helpless but GUESS WHAT!?

There is something you CAN do!

You can come down to Thirroul Beach this Saturday at 7am and help us raise money to give to the smart people at the @markhughesfoundation who can figure out how to cure this awful f#cking disease!!  I won’t make you exercise, don't worry (lol) but you will be able to buy…

30ks of running through the National Park from Otford to Bundeena. We encountered hills, sand, slippery rock, water and even a red belly black snake!😶

OH WHAT A NIGHT🙌🏽🎄!!

GUYS! I did a triathlon!! 🏊🏼‍♀️ 🚴 🏃🏽‍♀️

It was a hell of an experience with a very choppy swim and a flat tyre (TWICE!) but I made it across the finish line thanks to my amazing support crew and the kindness of a few random strangers 🥰

After the great bike disaster of 2023, I came in almost last over the finish line but here were the times from my Garmin:

1.5km🏊🏼‍♀️ 36 minutes
40km🚴 1hr 44 mins
10km🏃🏽‍♀️ 55 mins

I know im not a celebrity🤣 but I want to thank some people who helped me along the way because 6 months ago I couldn't swim 50m in a pool without stopping and I'd never ridden a road bike or used clip in shoes (which is terrifying btw!!) So a HUGE thank you to the following legends:

My rubber armed friend, @the_running_lab who swam with me every week☺️
The most patient man in the world @j.merritt12 who put up with my tantrums while learning how to use clip ins😂

I can't believe I did it!!!😭

I don't know about you but some days my training buddies are the only reason I go to the gym.

When I'm feeling unmotivated or a little low, there's nothing quite like my friends giving me a little push to exercise and a big hug afterwards🫶🏼

So many beautiful friendships are formed through exercising together including @vanessaclatworthy and @maryfitzpatrick74 👆🏼 who are like two peas in a pod🫛 So cute!!

What would we do without our fitness friends? (Probably exercise a lot less🤣)

Theres nothing quite like the unwavering love you share with the friends you cheated death with in your teenage years🫶🏼

Apparently we still like to drink in the streets of Mudgee although this time felt a little more socially acceptable.

Thank you to @j.merritt12 from @____rewired_co for an incredible breath work and ice bath experience yesterday😍

It's safe to say Jackson pushed all of us out of our comfort zone but the feeling afterwards was sooooo worth it!

If you want to try an ice bath or are interested in the benefits of cold water immersion then Jackson is the man for the job! Hit him up, you won't regret it🙌🏽

A big thanks to everyone who came along to give it a go, I'm so proud of you all🩷

This time last week, these two incredible humans had just overcome one of the biggest challenges you could imagine.

Conquering mountainous terrain through the cold, the rain and the darkness; Peta and Megan ran 100km on foot. 100km!! No joke!

If you've ever run a half marathon before, just picture doing that another 4 times over but with a lot more hills and scary animal noises surrounding you in the darkness 😬

To say I'm in awe is an understatement.

These two blow me away with their strength and resilience constantly but to achieve something like this is sooooo incredibly inspiring! Peta and Megsy, you ladies are AMAZING!!!!🙌🏽

Also a massive congratulations to Danni, Christina, Ronel, Margi, Kate, Peter and Raff (who came third in his age group!!) for conquering the 11km and 22km trail run! This is also an amazing feat as the UTA run is not an easy one!!

ABOUT US

At Fit For Change Personal Training in the Northern Illawarra, we offer a timetable of group fitness classes from Monday to Saturday.

Fit for Change classes are designed for all fitness levels & abilities and are ideal for women & men who enjoy the motivation of training with others.

Our experienced and motivated Fit for Change trainers include Alyssa Yeo and Max Ferri and we run a variety of classes including cardio, HIIT, circuit, glutes and core, strength and running classes.

Our classes are held along the beautiful Thirroul Beach reserve. Please check the locations page for our wet weather alternative locations.
