Cauliflower Pizza

I'm always searching for healthy substitutes because it's a great way to enjoy my favourite foods without all the extra sugar and calories. One of my absolute favourite things to eat is Pizza but it can often leave me feeling bloated and overly full. That's why I love this Cauliflower Base recipe plus it's easy, cheap and tastes surprisingly delicious!

Ingredients:

  • 700g cauliflower

  • 200g almond meal

  • 1 egg

Method:

  1. Preheat oven to 200 degrees celcius

  2. Line baking tray with baking paper

  3. Blitz the cauliflower in a food processor

  4. Place in a bowl and microwave for 7 minutes

  5. Allow it to cool

  6. Squeeze excess water out (the more you get out, the less crumbly the base will be)

  7. Add Almond meal and egg then mix together

  8. Press into baking tray

  9. Cook in oven for approximately 10 minutes or until the bottom is brown (otherwise it won't hold together)

  10. Add toppings and place back back in the oven and cook for approximately 7 minutes

  11. Let it cool for a few minutes for easier handling.

  12. ENJOY!
